Type Text in a PDF For Free

Open the document in the PDF editor. Select Tools > Edit PDF > Add Text. Drag the new text box to the preferred location. Add text to the box and choose the formatting options.

Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File > Properties > Security.) Make sure that the PDF includes interactive, or fillable, form fields. Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand.

Choose Tools > Edit PDF > Edit . The dotted outlines identify the text and images you can edit. Select the text you want to edit. The text-box turns blue upon selection, and a rotation handle appears at the top of the selected text-box.

Click on the ?Edit PDF? tool in the right pane. Use Acrobat editing tools: Add new text, edit text, or update fonts using selections from the Format list.
