Think of some stories that you can share that demonstrate your interest in being a camp counselor. An interview is an opportunity for you to learn more about a camp.

Tell your child you're proud of them for trying new things and for being independent. Especially for first-time campers, it can be really reassuring to hear this from mom and dad. Encourage them to set goals during their time at camp such as having fun, learning a new skill, and making friends.

Camp Experience What kind of camper is most likely to have a good experience at this camp? ... Does the camp offer a balanced experience? ... What does a typical day at camp look like? ... What does a typical week of camp look like? ... Can your student receive school credit for camp activities? ... What is the pace of the day?

Every letter should remind campers that they are loved and supported, and that you are so thrilled to hear about the fun they are having at camp. Also, short notes sent daily are better than infrequent but detailed long letters. And a small care package always makes a camper smile.
