Copy Columns Notice For Free

While you can not copy non-adjacent cells in different rows and columns, if you have non-adjacent cells in the same row or column, Excel allows you to copy these. For example, you can copy cells in the same row (even if these are non-adjacent). Just select the cells and then use Control + C (or Command + C for Mac).

Simply follow these steps: Select the entire row or column that you want to move. Hold down the Ctrl key as you click on the highlighted row or column.While still holding down the Ctrl key, drag the row or column to the place where you want it to be.Release the mouse button.

Select one or more rows and columns Or click on any cell in the column and then press Ctrl + Space. Select the row number to select the entire row. Or click on any cell in the row and then press Shift + Space. To select non-adjacent rows or columns, hold Ctrl and select the row or column numbers.

Do one of the following: To move rows or columns, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Cut. or press CTRL+X. To copy rows or columns, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Copy. or press CTRL+C.

Select the column that you want to copy (column A in this example) Copy the column (or the range in the column). You can do this using Control + C (or Command + C) or right-click on the selection and then click on Copy.

Mouse Shortcut for Copy Paste Select the cells that you want to copy. Hold the Control key. Place the mouse cursor at the edge of the selection (you will notice that the cursor changes into an arrow with a plus sign) Left-click and then drag the selection where you want the cells to be pasted.
