What are Page Breaks? Insert a page break when you want to move to the beginning of the next page in your document. Many users, unaware of the page break feature, will simply mash the Enter key when they want to start a new page. That works too until you want to edit your document later.

For page breaks, place the cursor at the end of the text before you want to insert the page break, and then click on Page (Go to Layout ribbon then open Breaks select Page). For section breaks, place cursor at the end of the text before you need the section break and click Next page.

On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks. Click Insert Page Break.

Simple Page Breaks A simple page break will force all the text behind the cursor onto the next page. Below (Fig 3-6) is an example of what what two pages of a document might look like before inserting a simple page break.
