Charts display data in a graphical format that can help you and your audience visualize relationships between data. When you create a chart, you can select from many chart types (for example, a stacked column chart or a 3-D exploded pie chart).

To insert a chart:Select the cells you want to chart, including the column titles and row labels. These cells will be the source data for the chart.From the Insert tab, click the desired Chart command.Choose the desired chart type from the drop-down menu.The selected chart will be inserted in the worksheet.

Charts are an essential part of working with data, as they are a way to condense large amounts of data into an easy to understand format. Visualizations of data can bring out insights to someone looking at the data for the first time, as well as convey findings to others who won't see the raw data.
