Author Document in PDF For Free

The Remove Metadata feature removes all instances of both types of metadata from the PDF document. To remove metadata: On the Protect tab, in the Redaction group, click Remove Metadata. A dialog appears, and asks you to confirm that you want to remove all metadata.

The Portable Document Format was created in the early 1990s by Adobe Systems, introduced at the Windows and OS2 Conference in January 1993 and remained a proprietary format until it was released as an open standard in 2008.

Open the PDF and Add sticky note (Ctrl + 6) In the sticky note box, right click next to the author name and then select Properties... Now you can edit the Author name in the General tab. Make sure to check the box for "Make Properties Default". Now all new comments will have the new author name.

Open the PDF document. Choose "Tools" and then select "Redact." Choose Remove Hidden Information and wait for the tool to finish running. If any items appear in the Results, click Remove. Save the file, note that identity information is not removed until the file is saved.

In the File menu, select Attach Files. The Open dialog appears. Browse to the file you wish to attach, select it, and click Open. The file is attached to your PDF document, and is embedded in the file when you save it.

Select File > Properties. Select the Description tab to view the metadata in the document, including the document information dictionary. Modify the Title field to add or change the document's Title entry.

Go to the General tab and change the Author name. Make sure to also tick the box that says "Make Properties Default". Click OK, and any new comment you create (from that type) from now on will have your name as the Author by default.
