Place yard waste in a paper lawn bag; plastic bags are not allowed. Contact a landscape or yard waste removal company for rocks, dirt, large branches, and other landscaping debris.

Refrigerator and freezer doors must be removed before setting out for pick-up. Items must be carried to the alley or curb for collection.
Let the empty paint can dry, then throw it away. Dry it up: Add kitty litter, shredded paper, or sawdust to absorb the remaining paint in the can, or pour it into a bag. After it dries, throw the bag or absorbent material and paint can away. Donate it: Ask friends and neighbors if they need paint for a small project.

Residents can call 311 to request separate yard waste collection. Yard waste should be left in the alley or at the curb for collection, and bagged separately from garbage in the black cart and separately from recycling in the blue. The Department will collect the bags based on 311 requests and take it to be composted.
