The purpose of Islamic education in shaping character is as an effort to instill character values in students which include knowledge, awareness or will, and actions to implement the values of goodness and virtue, to God Almighty, self, others, the environment and nationality to become a man of morality.

Through Islamic Moral Education, the students are trained to be God- conscious, just, truthful, well- disciplined, peaceful, tolerant, law- abiding and responsible citizens who value their nation and are ready to safeguard the interest of their society.

The results show that the role of teaching and learning Islamic education can shape the character of students who have noble character where this is reflected in their thinking, their fidelity to religion, their courage to voice the truth, and their good influence on their families, communities, and society.

Aims of Moral in Islam Moral values in Islam aim to determine human activity in a Muslim society, and to promote and control their behavior to the benefit of the whole society and its individuals, and to bring for all individuals a good conclusion in the other life.

They include kindness (to people and animals), charity, forgiveness, honesty, patience, justice, respecting parents and elders, keeping promises, and controlling one's anger, love of God and those God loves, love of his messenger (Muhammad) and of believers.

Moral education may be defined as helping children and young people to acquire a set of beliefs and values regarding what is right and wrong. This set of beliefs guides their intentions, attitudes and behaviors towards others and their environment.

Islamic education educates the child with the right knowledge of Islam. Providing Islamic education allows the right knowledge of Islam to be taught to children. Parents or grandparents may not have 100% knowledge or correct information as they may not have gone to classes formally for all aspects of Islam.

In Islam, the ideology of “Taqwa” refers to the set of moral values which inspires the behavior of human and connotes the ethical impression which raises the awareness in the human about their responsibility towards Allah and the state. The good means of serving the humanity in the best way is to educate them.
