The Royal Ambassador Emblem is a blue shield on a background of a white circle. It has a gold edge around the circle. The shield represents a soldier. In Ephesians 6:16, the Christian is instructed to “take the shield of faith.” The shield reminds the youth to have faith in God whom he will represent as an ambassador.

In 1924, a ranking system was introduced, featuring the ranks of Page, Squire, Knight, and Ambassador. Two higher ranks, Ambassador Extraordinary and Ambassador Plenipotentiary, were added in 1929 for boys 13 and older. Camping became a very important part of RA work, causing enthusiasm among boys.

As a Royal Ambassador I will do my best: to become a well-informed, responsible follower of Christ; to have a Christlike concern for all people; to learn how the message of Christ is carried around the world; to work with others in sharing Christ; and to keep myself clean and healthy in mind and body.

Royal Ambassadors ® (RA ®) is a ministry to boys in grades 1-6. Royal Ambassadors reaches boys for Christ and leads them to become Ambassadors for Christ through commitments (developing biblical character) and virtues (living the on-mission lifestyle of the Royal Ambassador Pledge).

Royal Ambassadors (RA) is a missions discipleship group for boys in grades 1–6. RA provides an opportunity for boys to grow spiritually, physically, mentally, and relationally with others through missions involvement and character development.

Royal Ambassadors Basics The RA Motto (which has never changed), "We are Ambassadors for Christ," not only gives the organization its name, but also gives the boys and leaders a lifestyle goal. This Motto is taken from Scripture, specifically 2 Corinthians 5:20.

The Purpose of Royal Ambassadors The Royal Ambassador program helps boys to become aware of the needs of people around the world and to respond to those needs. The organization seeks to lead boys to a personal commitment to Christ and assist them in their Christian growth experience.

The RA motto found in 2nd Corinthians 5:20 spells out our responsibility to be Ambassadors for Christ. As such, we represent Christ wherever we go. That means we also carry his message of hope, love and salvation from our sins everywhere possible.
