Florida Name Seller

Florida law requires sellers to file form HSMV 82050.Keep copies of the bill of sale (FLHSMV recommends having it notarized), certificate of title or other type of transaction document showing it was sold.

On the front of the title, near the middle, the seller must write in the current odometer reading on the vehicle. Near the bottom, the seller must fill in the following information on the appropriate lines: Date the vehicle was sold, and their printed name and signed name (which should be written on the same line).

Where Do I Sign a Florida Title? The seller signature location is on the front of the Florida Title in the lower left corner where it states Signature of Seller. Print your name where it states Printed Name of Seller.

Record the odometer reading on the title. Remove the tag (license plate) from the sold vehicle and surrender the tag (if applicable) Complete the sale and file HSMV-82050 - Notice of Sale and/or Bill of Sale for a Motor Vehicle, Mobile Home, Off-Highway Vehicle or Vessel.

Both are on the FRONT of the title. The first is in the center of the title and is labeled "Signature of Registered Owner." A second signature is required for the odometer statement. The field is labeled "Transferor/Seller Signature" and is located on the lower left.

First the seller fills out the Notice of Sale form and signs it. Then, the buyer reviews the form and signs it. There are many fields on the Florida 'Bill of Sale': Make, model and year, certificate of title number that's found on the vehicle title, odometer details, names, dates, price and signatures.

On the title where it says Signature(s) of all purchaser(s), all persons who are buying the car should sign their names. Next to that, the seller should sign their name. On the next line, all buyers and sellers should print their names.

How to Transfer an Electronic Title. When you sell a motor vehicle for which you hold an electronic title, you can transfer the title electronically if the buyer agrees. You and the buyer complete and sign a secure reassignment document at the Tax Collector's office. The document states the odometer reading.
