Where Do I Sign a Connecticut Title? Sign on the back of the Connecticut Title on the top left side in the Transfer by Owner section. Sign where it reads "Signature of Seller". Print your name to the right where it reads Printed Name of Seller.

On the title where it says Signature(s) of all purchaser(s), all persons who are buying the car should sign their names. Next to that, the seller should sign their name. On the next line, all buyers and sellers should print their names.

The following line says Signature of buyer. The buyer should sign on this line. Next to that, the buyer should print their name. Note that if two people are taking ownership of the car, both people must fit their names on the same lines. The next line says Name of seller. The seller should print their name there.

A Bill of Sale is always required along with proof of ownership document for vehicle to process a new registration in CT which can be our Bill of Sale (form H-31) form H-31 or Supplemental Assignment of Ownership (form Q-1).

Back of the title - sign name(s) in the box where it reads "Signature(s) of Seller(s)." Back of the title right next to where you signed your name(s) - print name(s) where it reads "Printed Name(s) of Seller(s)."

Directly under the statement Assignment of title by registered owner, write in the date the car was sold. On the next line, write in the name or names of the buyers and their address. On the next line, write in the odometer reading. Where it says Signature(s) of buyer, the buyer or buyers must sign the title.

Provide the old registration certificate (if available). Provide a current Connecticut Insurance Card, in your name, for the vehicle. Completed Application for Registration and Title (form H-13B). Download the form, fill out online, and print to bring with you.

Most states require that all owners listed on the title must print and sign their name when transferring ownership. Any fields that require information about a buyer/purchaser/transferee are asking for information about the person you are selling or donating the vehicle to.
