The responding party shall have 21 days after the date of service of a motion, or such lesser or greater time as the court may allow, in which to file a response. The moving party may file a reply no later than 14 days after the date of service of the response, or such lesser or greater time as the court may allow.

For a motion pursuant to C.R.C.P. 56, the moving party shall have 14 days after the filing of the responsive brief or such greater or lesser time as the court may allow to file a reply brief. (d) A motion shall not be included in a response or reply to the original motion.

Go to the clerk's office at the court that made the orders. Give the clerk your completed Motion for Contempt and Appearance forms. The clerk will write a hearing date and time on the motion, sign it, and give it back to you. The hearing date is when you and the other person must go to court.

Filing Your Motion. Take your motion to the clerk of court. You must file your motion in the same court where the related case is being heard if you want the judge to rule on it.
