Correction Statement

Statements to update information on a previous filing and submitted outside the statutory filing period must be submitted on paper. Statements submitted on paper should be directed to the Secretary of State's office in Sacramento, either by mail or delivered in person.

Review the LLC's formation documents. Most LLC operating agreements or articles of organization include the required voting procedure for adding or removing members to the company. Download and fill out a Statement of Information form. Update other documents and accounts as needed.

But the two terms mean largely the same thing. The term "peace officer" is used to describe anyone who has statutory law enforcement powers. The term police officer is used to describe a peace officer who work for a police agency.

Domestic nonprofit corporations and all limited liability companies must file a statement every two years. Filing tip for entities that must file every two years: If the entity's year of incorporation, registration, formation, or conversion was an even numbered year, file every even numbered year.

California correctional officers are designated as peace officers who are allowed to carry concealed weapons when they are off duty.

Correctional Officers are peace officers per California penal code sections 830.5, as their primary duties are to provide public safety and correctional services in and outside of state prison grounds, state-operated medical facilities, and camps while engaged in the performance of their duties.

A Statement of Information must be filed either every year for stock, cooperative, credit union, and all foreign corporations or every two years (only in odd years or only in even years based on year of initial registration) for domestic nonprofit corporations and all limited liability companies.
