Mississippi attorneys Lem Adams, III and Frank D. Edens founded U.S. Legal Forms in 1999. Both are members of the law firm Adams & Edens in Brandon. In 1995, the partners formed LawNetCom, Inc., (LNC), a company that provided legal information for Mississippi lawyers and the public. LNC also constructed the initial websites of the Mississippi Supreme Court and the Mississippi Bar, as well as held seminars for the legal profession to teach them how to use the Internet. It was this initial work that got Edens thinking about the idea for a company that has now evolved into U.S. Legal Forms.
